The Forest Hill Football Club is a community based Australian Rules football club affiliated with the Eastern Football League (EFL) and the Eastern Region Girls (ERGFL). The club is operated by volunteers and represented by players from the local area.

We strive to ensure that every person we come into contact with; our members, staff, volunteers, players and visitors will feel welcome, engaged and safe within our community.

Our Values sets the boundaries in regard to behavioural expectations and is pivotal to achieving our objective of becoming the club of choice for those aspiring to play, participate, administer and support the game of Australian Rules football.

Our History

Forest Hill Football Club was formed by Ken Parry (ex East Burwood), Ken Walleur, Mick Cecil & Kevin Binns in 1967. Ken Parry coached the Nunawading Blues high school team and played cricket for Forest Hill Cricket Club.

Supported by the cricket club and the ground not being used in the winter, the Nunawading High School Blues became the Forest Hill Cricket/Football Club, with the colours of green and white.

The clubs renamed itself the Forest Hill Football Club in 1968 and in 1970 entered the Eastern District Football League (EDFL), now the EFL. The club fielded a seniors and reserves team, as well as an Under 15’s and 17’s team in our inaugural season in the EDFL.

The club has continued to field a strong Junior teams throughout its history we also work closely with the  senior club team. In recent years we have expanded our junior program to incorporate girls teams as well as Netball Teams.

Currently we have

  • 150 active junior players

  • Auskick program on Friday evenings
  • All coaches accredited to AFL Victoria standards
  • All coaches and volunteers are Working With Children certified
  • All trainers & medical staff accredited in various areas & levels
  • Hard-working, passionate committee
